Perak imposes dawn to dusk rule

Malaysiakini

CORONAVIRUS | The Perak government has restricted the operation hours for all restaurants, food stalls, convenience stores, grocery shops and petrol stations from 7am to 7pm.
This was decided by the state security committee chaired by Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu this morning.
The restrictions will be in place from today until March 31, which coincide with the scheduled end of the movement control order (MCO).
The committee had also urged the public to contribute supplies for frontliners and security personnel to district offices and police stations.
Perak is the latest state government to impose its own business operation hours after Sarawak, Sabah and Terengganu.
The MCO, which is coordinated by Putrajaya's National Security Council, banned most businesses from operating while allowing businesses providing food to operate.
It did not state that operating hours need to be regulated.
So far, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, has enforced the strictest operating hour rule. Shops have to close by 5pm while petrol stations have to close by 2pm. - Mkini
