A man hunted down by police for allegedly raping and threatening to kill a 14-year-old girl has turned himself in.
"We made the arrest on March 18, after several raids were conducted.
"The suspect turned himself in following advice from the Subang Jaya Criminal Investigations Department," the district police chief Risikan Satiman said.
The suspect is under seven-day remand, he added.
Earlier, Malaysiakini reported that a secondary school student lodged a report alleging she was raped by her mother's boyfriend.
She lodged the report while accompanied by her father, at the Puchong police station on Wednesday.
In her report, she said the man in his 40s raped her at her home in Puchong, while her mother was not around.
She said he demanded that she undress, and when she refused, he forced himself on her.
The teenager said this was not the only time it had happened and she was threatened with death if she told anyone. - Mkini
