Man’s move to insult, flip off cops ends in arrest

PETALING JAYA: A man was arrested in Ampang today after flipping off and uttering abusive words to members of the Ampang Jaya traffic police unit.

According to the report cited in a Facebook post, the unit had asked a vehicle driver to pull over at a petrol station in Jalan Ampang for driving against traffic flow.

The driver refused to follow the instructions of the officer on duty and screamed “polis bodoh” (“stupid police”) while showing the middle finger at them.

The driver was immediately arrested and brought to the Ampang traffic station to be charged under Section 186 of the Penal Code.

“After urine screening tests, results determined that the driver tested positive for THC, an illegal substance,” the police said in a statement on Facebook. - FMT
