Mr Lim Kit Siang If You Are Too Flexible With Your (MoU) Principles Something Will Crack

I think the country is going beyond shock into numbness from the endless series of inactions by the government over the endless series of revelations over corrupt and/or dubious behaviour by the high and mighty.

The country is also going beyond shock over the really flexible principles being exhibited by the likes of Mr Lim Kit Siang and his buddy Panglima Pintu Belakang. For two years now since February 2020 Pintu Belakang has been screaming "pintu belakang". Yet in Melaka he willingly admitted the pintu belakang frogs to stand on his ticket. And true enough the voters kicked him out of Melaka with ZERO seats. The DAP was also shut out of the Melaka polls.  

Mr Lim Kit Siang the voters are not stupid. They are sending you a loud message. Just in case you are losing your hearing the voters created another loud explosion for you in Sarawak. Again Pintu Belakang was shut out completely in Sarawak and the DAP also got trounced really badly.

The people do not like your association with Pintu Belakang. Even your own DAP boys do not like Pintu Belakang anymore. 

And the people do not like the DAP's MoU with UMNO - which you are defending again.  

The recent revelations of possibly corrupt practices involving the past Bank Negara governors, more revelations of millions of Ringgit stashed away in Singapore (RM150 million or more) plus also the PAC's damning statement about Bank Negara wrongfully forking out RM2.07 BILLION taxpayers money to bailout 1MDB debt - well all that does not surprise the people anymore. The whole system is rotten.  As I said the public has moved beyond being shocked to becoming numb to all the corruption that is going on in the country.

The public is also beyond shock that the authorities are not prosecuting any of these criminal activities. Those ex-Bank Negara folks are still living on easy street - courtesy of the ignorant taxpayers. 

And yesterdays denials has only affirmed "more of the same". 

But what will be increasingly scrutinised by the public is the DAP's MoU with UMNO. Pintu Belakang will not break the MoU with UMNO. You can be sure of that. But what about the DAP?

The Chinese in Melaka and Sarawak voted against the DAP also because of the MoU. They do not like it. And now the complete inaction, the 'close both eyes' attitude of the government over all these latest revelations of corruption will put you and the DAP under greater scrutiny.

You will have to break the MoU with UMNO. Because it looks like the Umno boys are taking you for a ride.  And now with your wipeout in Melaka and Sarawak the UMNO boys will step on your shoulders and piss on your head. They feel that the DAP needs them much more than they need the DAP.  Last and least the DAP's Chinese voters do not like this either.  Mr Lim if you dump Umno (plus Pintu Belakang) there is no loss to the DAP. But if you ignore the Chinese voters, there will be hell to pay.

There may be even more revelations of corruption next week or next month. There will still be no action taken.

But that is not the worse case scenario for the DAP. The worse case scenario for the DAP will be if the UMNO boys pull out of the MoU. That will really make the DAP look bad. 

Will UMNO pull out of the MoU? They will if Pintu Belakang makes a separate deal with them. Which is not impossible.

In the long run principles always outlive and outshine expediency.
