PUTRAJAYA: Bersatu secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin has played down rumours that two ministers from the party are set to defect to Umno, describing such talk as “psychological warfare”.
At a press conference, the home minister said the rumours were aimed at weakening Bersatu ahead of the Johor state elections.
“It’s normal. Why is it coming out before the Johor elections? Only to ‘tell’ the people of Johor not to trust Bersatu (because) its leaders want to return to Umno,” he said.
