PARLIAMENT | Pengerang MP Azalina Othman Said has tested positive for Covid-19 following a routine PCR test held in Parliament.
Taking to Twitter, Azalina announced the results of her PCR test obtained this afternoon.
"Pengerang MP Azalina Othman Said has tested positive for Covid-19 based on PCR test results received just now.
"I apologise for any inconvenience that arises following this development and I urge any persons who had dealings with me in the past 48-hours to undergo the necessary Covid-19 screening," said Azalina in a statement.
Azalina was in the Dewan Rakyat for the morning session today.
Her question on the number of deaths in Immigration Department custody was listed as number six on the order paper during question time and answered by Deputy Home Minister Ismail Mohamad Said.
All MPs and their aides attending Parliament are required to undergo a mandatory Covid-19 screening every Monday and Wednesday, conducted by Health Ministry personnel. - Mkini
