PETALING JAYA: A total of 22,531 police and armed forces personnel and their spouses will cast their early vote on Tuesday for the Johor state elections.
Of the number, 11,576 are police personnel, Johor police chief Kamarul Zaman Mamat said.
He also said the early voting will take place in 63 voting centres that have been established at police stations and armed forces bases.
“Those casting their early vote should follow the instructions given by health officials. Make sure that you have taken your Covid-19 test to ensure that you are healthy,” he said, Harian Metro reported.
He added that 382 police personnel had registered for postal voting, and 276 applications were approved.
The Election Commission has fixed March 12 as polling day for the Johor elections. - FMT
