The cooperation between Perikatan Nasional parties in Kedah was very strong and should be emulated in other states, said Bersatu supreme council member Azmin Ali.
Speaking to reporters after a Bersatu function in Alor Setar yesterday afternoon, Azmin said he was scheduled to meet Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor from PAS last night.
"(Our meeting) is proof that PN's cooperation in Kedah is strong," said Azmin, according to Sinar Harian.
PN currently controls 21 seats in the Kedah legislative assembly - well above the 18 required to govern. There are two BN assemblypersons supporting the Sanusi.
PAS controls 15 seats in the Kedah assembly and Bersatu six.
Azmin revealed that there would be a major national-level PN meeting, which would include representatives of all PN-controlled state administrations on election preparations and the implementation of PN policies.
Apart from Kedah, the other two PN-controlled states are Kelantan and Terengganu.
Meanwhile, Azmin said his visit to Kedah also involved a meeting with Kedah Bersatu chief Mohd Suhai Abdullah.
Azmin said Kedah Bersatu was very committed to working with PAS. - Mkini
