KL June 1 — Public Works Ministry today defended the contract for the maintenance of Istana Negara as “reasonable”.
“information published by [World of Buzz] refers to ongoing contract of seven years, ends June 30, 2022,” it said
The ministry went on to detail the scope of the contract in its statement
- maintenance work encompassed 241.3 acres
- three main components that fulfilled different functions
- gross floor area of 89,525 square metres.

The article in turn referred to tweets by Malaysians who reportedly screenshotted the information on the company page of an investment holding company’s website.
My comments : Well my apologies because I commented on that RM519 million as well.
RM519 million for seven years works out to RM74.1 million per year.
Or RM6.2 million a month !!
Or RM206,000 per DAY !!
That sounds reasonable. Very reasonable.
