PETALING JAYA: Police are tracking down two men for alleged indecent behaviour in a public place after they urinated under a tree near the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar in Johor.
Iskandar Puteri district police chief Rahmat Ariffin said that based on pictures circulating on social media, the incident took place at about 11.10am on Saturday.
He said checks found that it took place near the entryways for light vehicles entering Malaysia from Singapore, and that there was some congestion there at the time.
“The distance between the location in the picture to the closest public toilet is about 1km. If vehicle owners were to park their cars at the roadside and walk to the toilet, it would worsen the congestion,” he said in a Harian Metro report.
Rahmat said they wanted to record the duo’s statements under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act, which carries a maximum fine of RM100.
“Surveillance will be conducted to prevent such an incident from happening again,” he said. - FMT
