PETALING JAYA: Former inspector-general of police Musa Hassan has denied claims that he is being paid by a syndicate to cover up their operations, and demanded proof of the allegation.

Anonymous account Edisi Siasat had said that one “PJ Ming” syndicate with a network of nightclubs had paid Musa to cover up their operations by highlighting other nightclubs that were involved in drug activities instead.

The website also alleged that Musa’s “men” had used middlemen to discuss a deal.

“If it’s true, please ask the police to arrest PJ Ming. Ask Edisi Siasat to name the middlemen who met me so the police can arrest them all,” he told FMT.

Musa had said last week that he had a list of nightclubs in Kuala Lumpur that supplied drugs to their patrons. He said he had given the list to Bukit Aman narcotics investigation department director Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay.

“I had a discussion for about an hour with him in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. During the meeting, I handed him the list as promised,” he said.

Musa had alleged that some middlemen had been a bridge between the nightclubs and rogue authorities to protect their operations from being busted. - FMT
