Higher Education Minister Khaled Nordin says the anti-PTPTN protesting students camped in Dataran Merdeka deserve to be attacked or assaulted.
I say to Malaysians. Khaled and Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN) deserve to be kicked out of Putrajaya.
Khaled’s verbal attack on the students is not only unsympathetic, it exposes his level or lack of intelligence and rational to behave civilly, especially in high public office.
It is simply ridiculous! What wrong or crime has our right thinking tertiary students done to deserve such a stinky from Khaled?
No 'binatangs' in the Cabinet, please
All they are doing is camping peacefully at Dataran Merdeka to tell the government that it is time to do away with the PTPTN (National Higher Education Fund) loans and provide free tertiary education to our children. Is that wrong or not within the democratic rights of Malaysians to demand such?
The students are able to see that the Umno-led BN government has been plundering millions and billions of ringgit of our country’s wealth with impunity (e.g. the infamous Cowgate which is so simple for Malaysians to digest compared with the complexities of concession and privatisation agreements benefitting Umno cronies, not the poverty-saddled rural Malays) and therefore they are now demanding free tertiary education.
Many of the protesting students are from the villages, so they know what they are into.
No right thinking human being – therefore he must be a binatang (an animal) – will say our children deserve to be attacked or killed for such a basic display of democratic right and opinion.
I wonder, IF his children were among the protesters, would he be saying the same thing? I guess it is just wishful or the big IF to expect his children in the comfort of their lavish home would ever think of fighting for the rights of the not so privileged children.
By saying what he said, can it be construed that Khaled would also say you deserve to be killed to fellow Malaysians who don’t agree with him or BN-Umno?
Violent leader uses violent tactics
We have not even come to questioning the honesty of the BN government in providing protection to fellow Malaysians. How could the mob-like attack even take place under the watch of the police, if not sanctioned by the BN-Umno led by Najib Abdul Razak who has not been able to clear the air over the murder of a Mongolian woman?
Come on Malaysians! What more nonsense do you want to see from your elected government before you realise that you have been had.
Malaysians have been misled by Alliance/BN for more than 54 years! Isn’t that enough?
The die-hard BN-Umno supporters may now argue that it is Khaled’s own opinion and therefore it is unfair to blame BN. There is no such thing as own opinion when you hold such a high office that is related to student affairs.
I say Malaysians (not any particular race, if you have noticed) must kick BN out of Putrajaya because it supports the moronic Khaled.
Nothing short of a sacking of Khaled will convince Malaysians that there is still some sanity in the politics and governance of the Umno-led BN. Of course, the hangers-on – MCA, MIC, Gerakan, to name a few – will maintain an elegance silence on real issues that afflict the people.
They must remain silent to be entrenched in the good books of big brother Umno – just for the leftovers and crumbs of the gravy train, not in the interest of the rakyat.
