Is MCA's Kampar MP being a bully? Police to quizz Hannah over phantom voter leaflets

Is MCA's Kampar MP being a bully? Police to quizz Hannah over phantom voter leaflets
Subang Jaya assemblywoman Hannah Yeoh has been called up by the police for questioning under "Defamation, Offence under Section 500 of the Penal Code".
"This questioning is due to the police report lodged by MCA Kelana Jaya on April 16," DAP Kelana Jaya division said in a statement to the press.
No smoke without fire?
It did not give further details but it is believed to be related to Hannah's blog posting on the same date entitled MCA's recruitment drive for phantom voters?
Hannah will give a press conference on Saturday at 10.15am in front of the Balai Polis SS17, Jalan SS17/2, Subang Jaya.
"At about 3:30pm yesterday, we received a phone call from a resident in SS19 flats informing us that MCA was doing a road show there and that a counter had been set up for foreigners to apply for permanent residency and citizenship in Malaysia. I asked for documentation proof and the leaflet above (scroll below) was emailed to us," Hannah had written on her blog on April 16.
The last portion of the said leaflet stated MCA leader Lee Chee Leong's name.
Bullying tactics
Chee Leong is the MCA MP for Kampar and the Deputy Home Minister. Already the high-handed action is being viewed as an attempt to bully the 32-year-old Hannah, who is popular with the Subang residents.
Many see the action as unfair as Hannah appeared to have done her checks and even got hold of the incriminating leaflets being distributed to her constituents.
As for the MCA, which is getting more unpopular by the day, it has become evident following the fiasco in the recently-concluded Parliamentary Select Committee on electoral reforms as well as the MCA's adamant opposition to overseas voters being allowed to cast their ballots, that the party is aware that the only way it can win in the 13th general election might well be by cheating.
"MCA must explain this despicable act. In the face of such threat of phantom voters, the people of Subang Jaya must fiercely safeguard their rights to have a clean and fair election by volunteering to be a polling or counting agent this coming elections. Bersih 3.0 is no longer an option," Hannah had posted.
