It is widely reported on the new media circuit that the wife of the Honourable Prime Minister in addressing some university students recently, had admonished the audience (and meant for all students nationwide) to not "bite the hand that feeds you".
Now what on earth is this? Datuk Seri Najib can you please enlighten us the citizens of this land that you are leading. The least you can do is to approach your spouse to explain to you in the privacy of your home what she meant in all earnest.
And when you do get an answer, you probably will appreciate why readers are taking an issue with those words reportedly uttered by Datin Seri Rosmah. You will also be able to appreciate the fact that people at every teh tarik session are sneering at this latest episode involving your spouse again.
While you are hard at work preaching to the rakyat about the great efforts being taken by BN to serve the nation, your spouse is discounting all those team efforts of BN by saying something to the effect that translates to making citizens the beggar-man of the nation.
Is this appropriate Honourable Prime Minister?
Who is feeding who?
BN is not feeding the rakyat. It cannot. It should not in the first place. This, the 'First Lady of Malaysia' must know.
The government has a moral and indispensable role and duty to transparently create and manage opportunities for the rakyat to work and feed themselves honourably. The rakyat need not be beholden and begging to be fed; on the contrary the citizens through their judicious vote have appointed you to deliver a service that is to the expectations of set standards and honour.
So what is all this "do not bite the hand that feeds you" all about? Is it not going against the very grain of what BN has painstaking being preaching to the nation these past five decades?
Datin Seri Rosmah appears to have also sounded the warning bells to the citizens. So, the people are now asking in rebuttal, "well what if we do bite that hand? what are you going to do?"
Hopefully the PM's wife will not retort, "wait till I show you folks".
In all the entire history of the nation we never once had a prime minister's wife coming to the fore and adding fuel to the fire. Datuk Seri Najib must deal with this unless you are oblivious to what Tun Dr. Mahathir once mentioned publicly in making reference to your spouse.
