More than 19,000 registered voters have been moved to different localities and not just Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim, said Election Commission (EC) chief Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof today.
Abdul Aziz told reporters the commission had been working on boundary correction since 2004 using the Electoral Geographical Information System (EGIS), after chairing a briefing for MPs on election-related matters.
“Khalid is not the only one whose voting constituency was corrected - so far the EC has rectified the voting constituencies for 19,342.
“We have not conducted any delineation, that would require Parliament’s consent and two thirds majority,” said Abdul Aziz.
