'Selling spree' now follows the Shahrizats' shopping spree

'Selling spree' now follows the Shahrizats' shopping spree
PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli, closely following the activities of the troubled National Feedlot Corporation, said the company's managers were now busy cashing out properties bought using the RM250 million soft loan by the government to run the National Feedlot Centre.
"Previously they were on a shopping spree. Now they are on a selling spree," said Rafizi, who has been leading a series of revelation on the company owned by the family of Wanita UMNO head Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
The latest claim if true would also mean that the 'assets freeze' order slapped on the NFC by prime minister Najib Razak was not in force.
Rafizi pointed out that the NFC directors, which include Shahrizat's husband and children, are preparing for the sale of of three office units in Sri Hartamas for RM3 million, 25 percent less than their market value, to one Insun Developments Sdn Bhd.
He said the properties were purchased using personal loans leveraged against NFC’s soft loan, adding that the loans were provided by the same bank which financed eight other properties worth RM12 million purchased by NFC at the KL Eco City.
"The line separating private property or public funds has been blurred," said Rafizi, who urged that the NFC top managers' personal assets to be also frozen.
"If not, how will the public recover the lost money?" he asked.
