PUTRAJAYA, Sept 18 — The Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) today submitted its investigation papers (IP) on the case involving Suara Inisiatif Sdn Bhd , the operating entity of Suara Rakyat Malaysia (Suaram), to the Attorney-General’s Chambers.
CCM chief executive officer Mohd Naim Daruwis said the IP was submitted to Deputy Solicitor-General II Datuk Tun Abdul Majid Tun Hamzah.
“We will continue to look at other angles and will wait for the green light from the AG’s chambers for further action,” he told reporters after a two-hour meeting with Tun Abdul Majid.
Earlier today, Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the CCM investigation had found discrepancies in the company’s accounts, but declined to elaborate the matter. — Bernama
