KUALA TERENGGANU - The Election Commission (EC) today held a two-day briefing for returning officers and assistant returning officers for the eastern zone to face the 13th general election to be held soon.
Among the matters touched at the briefing were measures on improving the 13th general election by EC assistant secretary Datuk Noordin Che Ngah.
The briefing also touched on the management of postal voting given by the Perak election director Ahmad Adli Abdullah while the briefing on the Postal Voting Marking System (SiT-UP)/ScoreSheet/SMS was given by Kamaruddin Keling and Engku Nasmira Raja Omar from the EC Information Management Division.
Tomorrow, there will be a question and answer session on preparaton for the 13th general election with Noordin and EC Legal Advisor Mohd Azhar Mohd Yusof, before the closing ceremony by EC Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof.
The briefing was attended by more than 300 returning officers and assistant returning officers from the three states in the East Coast. A similar briefing will also be held for the southern, northern, Sabah and Sarawak zones.
