RCI ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

MANY people are very upset over the testimonies and evident presented to the recent RCI enquiry in the KK High Court. The people were surprise to learn that hundred thousands of foreigners were given Malaysian Identity over the number of years, and this was instruction given from the top brass.

The Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament Hiew King Cheu was approached by the people who felt that they had been betrayed and been cheated by those who had a hand in this matter.

They want stern action to be taken on them. On the other hand, the West Malaysians who had resided in Sabah for twenty to thirty years had also complained that why they had to chop their passport for a stay permit or work permit every year in order to work and stay in Sabah?

The illegal immigrants and the refugees are luckier than them, because they were given MyCard straight away and became Sabahan with no question asked.

The thousands of West Malaysian in Sabah who had built their businesses, families and owning properties are still like foreigners in the own country. Is it so difficult the Sabah State Government to grant them with the permanent residency (PR)?

“Now there are ample proofs that illegal foreigners in Sabah were given Malaysian Identity, what comes next”? This is the common question raised by the genuine Sabahan now, and how can this problem be resolved?

The BN government had denied in numerous occasions that there is no such program to issue Malaysian IC to illegal foreigners and refugees, and now the truth has prevailed, and what are they going to do?

The ex-Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad had made public statement admitting on the 'Project IC' for 200,000 immigrants in Sabah, and the reason given was that these people are qualified.

MP Hiew views those statements made by Dr. M as very important to get to the bottom of the matter, therefore it is necessary and compulsory for the RCI to call him to the stand. On top of that, he has publicly said that he would come forward if he is being called.

This is the time to expose and nail those who had a hand on this matter, and this can be classified as an act of treason or betrayal of the country, especially in Sabah. The implication and harm caused to the Sabahan and Malaysian as a whole can be countless and immense. We want to put a full stop on the matter once for all, for well being of our future generations.

This must be carried out with full commitment and strong political will, and the only way to achieve this is to vote BN out and put Pakatan Rakyat into Putrajaya. (DAP Media)
