Prime Minister Najib Razak today announced that the salary scale of police and armed forces personnel has been raised to be on par with the rest of the civil service.
The adjustment that applies across the board and backdated to Jan 1.
The announcement comes on the heels of the 13th general election that has to be called soon, and the Sabah armed incursion in Lahad Datu that has to date cost the lives of eight servicemen.
