A bus carrying 49 passengers has fallen into a ravine on the road heading down from Genting Highlands earlier this afternoon.
Police have confirmed that its officers are at the site along with Fire and Rescue Department personnel, but do not have any further details.

Malay daily Harian Metro reports that 33 are feared dead while Utusan Malaysia reports that so far 10 bodies have been uncovered by rescue personnal from the wreckage of the bus, while 15 injured have been taken to Hospital Selayang for treatment.
Meanwhile, Ketari assemblyperson Lee Chin Chen, who is at the scene, told Malaysiakini at 5.15pm that rescue workers had rescued 12 people from the wreckage.

There are six people in the Selayang Hospital, three of them in critical condition. There are three hospitals treating the accident victims - Hospital Kuala Lumpur and the Selayang, Sungai Buloh hospitals.
