KUALA LUMPUR: Police now have several pieces of information which they believe could help solve the case involving the shooting of Mywatch chairman R. Sri Sanjeevan in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan last month.
Bukit Aman CID director Hadi Ho Abdullah said the information could lead police to the suspect.
“Police are awaiting approval from the hospital to interview Sri Sanjeevan.
We believe the interview will yield more information to help us solve the case,” he told a media conference at Bukit Aman here yesterday.
Earlier, Hadi attended the pinning of ranks, and the handing over of duties

The event was witnessed by Deputy Inspector-General of Police Mohd Bakri Mohd Zinin.
Sri Sanjeevan, 29, was seriously injured in the right rib after being hit by a bullet fired by two men on a motorcycle at a junction in Taman Cempaka, Bahau at about 4.30pm on July 27.
He is now in stable condition at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital, Seremban.
Following the incident, Bukit Aman set up a special team, assisted by the state contingent, to investigate the incident, believed to be over revenge.
In another development, Hadi said of the 130,000 arrests made by the police on suspects for various offences nationwide in the last 18 months, 30 per cent of them were repeated offenders.

Meanwhile, Bukit Aman CID (Intelligence/Operations) deputy director, Mazlan Mansor was also promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, effective yesterday.
