KOTA KINABALU - Klias assemblyman Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin has been appointed as Sabah PKR chief to replace Ahmad Thamrin Mohd Jaini.
Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the decision was made after taking into account of several factors including views of party leaders at the State level.
The PKR supreme council had endorsed Lajim to helm the party, he said to reporters after attending the Sabah PKR open house here, today.
PKR Sabah won seven state seats in the recently concluded general election.
This include Lajim beating Barisan Nasional candidate Isnin Aliasnih with a majority of 179 for the Klias seat.
Ahmad Thamrin who was also at the function, said he supported the decision.
