National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) chairperson Mohamad Salleh Ismail said his series of clarifications over the project has nothing to do with his wife Shahrizat Abdul Jalil's attempt to defend her post as Umno Wanita chief.
Salleh (left) said Shahrizat had never been involved with the project in any way, and that it is only “between me and my children”."We are doing this session after the general election so as we have more time to clarify the issues at hand.
When the two (PKR’s Zuraida Kamaruddin and Mohd Rafizi Ramli) had made the allegations in 2011, I was subjected to investigations almost every day."
"Let me reiterate the clarification now has nothing to do with her (Shahrizat's) election (in Umno)," Salleh said.
Last year, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has also cleared the former Women, Family and Community Development minister was not involved in the awarding of the multi-million NFC contract to her family.
