Two organisations lodge police report against individual insulting Agong on YouTube

The Malaysian Muslim Consumers Association (PPIM) and the Young Journalists Club (KWMM) today lodged a police report against the individual alleged to have insulted the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and the monarchy institution on YouTube.
Accompanied by 10 PPIM and KWMM members, PPIM advisory council chairman Tunku Azwil Tunku Abdul Razak lodged the report at the Dang Wangi police headquarters here this evening.
He said the three-minute video uploaded to YouTube last June showed a man, known as Ustaz Wan Ji, allegedly insulted the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and planned to abolish the monarchy institution.
"As a country that practised a constitutional monarchy system, all quarters must respect the monarchy institution. So, we hope the police and the Home Ministry will investigate the matter and take stern action against the culprit," he told reporters after lodging the report.
Meanwhile, KWMM chairman Dzulkarnain Taib said the man in the video also give a deadline for the monarchy institution to be abolished.
Therefore, he said the police should take immediate action against those responsible in producing the video and uploading it to YouTube.
