Gerakan Youth slam Perkasa for making baseless accusations against the party.
PETALING JAYA: Gerakan Youth has urged Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali and information chief Ruslan Kassim to stop accusing the party of undermining the domination, power and political leadership of the Malays.
Gerakan’s newly-elected deputy national youth chief Andy Yong said what had been said by the two Perkasa leaders were baseless.
“I question the motive behind such attacks on Gerakan recently,” he said in a press statement today.
In a media report yesterday, Ibrahim alleged that the Gerakan and DAP had a common agenda to undermine the domination, power and political leadership of the Malays.
“There is no proof whatsoever in the accusation and I invite Ruslan to study the ideologies and objectives of Gerakan if he is so ignorant.
“Gerakan is a multi-racial party and political entity for all Malaysians and some non-Chinese has been elected in the recent party elections,” Yong said in a press statement.
“Our beautiful country will never go far if Perkasa’s way of politicking continues,” he said.
Yong said if Ibrahim Ali wanted to declare war on Gerakan, the youth wing was prepared to fight for the party.
“I do not need to elaborate further on Perkasa because people know the truth. All I want to say is do not play with fire,” he said.
