KUALA LUMPUR - The Public Accounts Committee's (PAC) report on the National Feedlot Corporation (NFCorp) will be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat next Tuesday instead of this week.
PAC chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamad said the report was submitted to the Dewan Rakyat secretariat but it willl not be tabled this week.
"I leave it to the secretariat to decide when to present it," he said in a press conference after the PAC meeting today.
Last week, Nur Jazlan said the report would be tabled this week.
When asked on the recommendations by the PAC, he said several suggestions have been made but refused to divulge them.
The NFC project had come under the limelight when the AG's Report 2010 found that the RM74 million centre in Gemas, Negri Sembilan had only achieved 3,289 heads of cattle or 41% of the 8,000 target.
The cattle breeding project, aimed at reducing the country's dependence on imported beef, had been given to NFCorp in December 2007.
The corporation's executive chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Salleh Ismail, is the husband of former women, family and community development minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, and their children are on the board of directors.
On another matter, Nur Jazlan said the third series of the Auditor-General's Report 2012 will be released next Monday.
