The MCA Selangor has termed these exco members as 'hypocrites' for holding on to their posts.
KUALA LUMPUR: The MCA believes that the PKR and DAP exco members are hanging on because of the RM20,000 pay cheques.
The MCA Selangor state liaison committee secretary Ng Chok Sin said they are wasting Selangor taxpayers’ money.
He said in a statement that they should not conjure silly excuses such as the need to monitor Menteri Besar (MB) Khalid Ibrahim when in fact they simply want to hang on to their posts.
Ng said they should resign immediately as they no longer ‘trust’ the MB.
Ng also questioned the sudden ‘about-turn’ by DAP who just six months ago lauded Khalid as an “honest and hardworking man’ and are now siding with PKR to oust the Selangor MB.
“The whole episode is a joke for a party which is said to uphold transparency and accountability,” he added.
Not pulling any punches, Ng went on to accuse DAP of being weak as, “they turned a blind eye on PKR’s manipulation of government positions and the democratic process, and ‘privatisation’ of the MB’s post.”
As the Selangor MB saga took another turn last night, MCA questioned if PKR’s report of Khalid’s ‘wrongdoings’ would be also reported to the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
