Sacking is not at will and at the pleasure of the sultan. HRH (His Royal Highness) must have very good reason/s to do so.
Article 53(7) does not provide for proxy sacking therefore the sultan is answerable to the people of Selangor and is obliged to give reason/s for his action.

Sure, the law might give the sultan or Khalid the power to sack the six state cabinet members. But that is not what the law was designed for.
It is a provision for the MB to sack the exco members if they have not been or are not doing their job. And they have been doing their job well. This is an abuse of power and the law.
There is strong basis and a moral responsibility for Khalid to step down until the allegations against him have been cleared.
This is because anyone in a position of power that is implicated in corrupt acts are susceptible to being blackmailed into making decisions that do not benefit the rakyat and the country.
When one corrupt person blackmails another, at the end of the day, they will only be looking out for themselves, and not the rakyat. That is why corruption is a major impediment to economic growth.
And also why there is a need for some to cling to power at all costs.
Fair Play: As a right-thinking Malaysian, I am in fact relieved to see this impasse had come to this, but certainly not this way created by a rogue Adun (state assemblyperson) from PKR.
PKR and DAP, might as well regroup and form a more credible opposition pact. There are many battles to fight, possible Selangor snap election, GE14, GE15 and beyond.
Let's punish PAS severely nationwide and consign them to the rural heartland for posterity, once and for all.
Patriot1: Khalid's main shortcoming is that he runs Selangor truly like a corporation. In government, there are social issues that do not exist in corporations.
His 'stingy style' leaves many PKR representatives unable to fulfill their promises to the rakyat. Khalid should free up a portion of the state's vast reserves to really develop the state as 'idle money is no different from no money'. Amenities and infrastructure still leaves a lot to be desired.
I was a banker and as far bank settlements are concerned, we never know the real picture unless shown to us. Why is everybody hurling accusations when nobody know the details?
If Khalid has done wrong, by all means punish him for selling out Selangor but what we have is a situation of "it can't be unless..."
All his financials appeared settled and he's invited any party, including the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), to check. I believe he's hanging on to prove a point.

He is no longer an Adun (state representative) from Pakatan and does not have a valid mandate from Pakatan to head a Pakatan state government.
The principle of parliamentary democracy is being set aside for the convenience of retaining Khalid as MB to fullfill the short-term objectives of shameless Umno. Khalid is now literally "a dead man walking" for the betrayal he has committed yet Umno, the palace and top leadership of PAS choose to side with Khalid.
Selangor is not like Perak, voters will not give a second chance to those who betray or insult them.
As for PAS, their leadership's behaviour and handling thus far of this Khalid case speaks volume of their trustworthiness and commitment to the Pakatan project.

Not even in their wildest dreams did they imagine things to work out this way where they are cornered and looking at the real prospect of losing another state, and this is no other state.
