BE VERY CAREFUL, SARAWAKIANS: NOT ONLY SECESSION FROM MALAYSIA BUT PULLING OUT OF BN IS NOW ‘SEDITIOUS’
Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) vice president Huan Cheng Guan today accused Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng of inciting hatred to Sarawakians by asking them to separate the state from Malaysia.
“This morning, I read an article in an online news portal containing Guan Eng’s speech made at the DAP Sarawak 18th State Annual Convention in Sibu yesterday which has seditious elements,” Huan told reporters after lodging a police report at the Perai police station here in Seberang Perai today.
Guan Eng, in his speech, allegedly told Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem and Sarawakian political parties to set a deadline for Putrajaya to demand for greater autonomy.
“If the ruling coalition fails to meet a deadline to accede to the state’s demand for autonomy, then the local parties should quit Barisan Nasional (BN).
“Adenan should set a deadline to pull out of BN if the BN federal government refuses to accede to Sarawak’s demands for autonomy as guaranteed in the 1963 Malaysian Agreement leading to the 1963 Federal Constitution,” Guan Eng in the speech.
The Penang chief minister also said in his speech that BN must be taught a lesson and be reminded that just as without Sarawak there is no Malaysia, similarly without the support of Sarawak MPs, BN would lose federal power.
