This country will be doomed if the people fall for the game of hate politics that is being played out by certain parties, said Umno information chief Annuar Musa.
Annuar told a press conference after an information session with Umno members in Kepala Batas that the politics of hate towards the Barisan Nasional (BN) was on the rise.
“People say that Umno is racist. Gerakan, MCA and MIC are powerless but it is not true. Umno has never been racist as we are the first to work with parties from different racial backgrounds.”
He considered hate politics as a crime as it could topple a government that was elected by the people through democracy and create chaos in this country.
“We do not want to see hate politics in our beloved country,” he said citing the Arab Spring as an example where people played hate politics and the country had fallen apart.
“We do not want our country to be like that. We must turn the table, it is important for Umno members to be on the same page. We have to be ready for war.”
App to tackle gov't slander
During the session, Annuar launched a mobile application named Malaysia4All to connect the party's information machinery to the leadership to tackle slander towards the government.
The application that is opened for all Umno members is used as a platform for them to spread reliable information to the public via social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
“The first stage will outsource the information too some 500,000 Umno information machinery. After this, the application will be opened to all members,” he said.
Meanwhile, when asked about the recently established Penang Front Party (PFP), Annuar said the party was not part of Umno and he did not know about it.
