SABAK BERNAM – The Red Shirts will behave if those attending the Bersih 5 rally also behave, said Red Shirts leader Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos.
“If Bersih behaves during the gathering, we will too. But if they do not behave, then we will be ten times ”better” and we will step on them,” said Jamal
He added that the Red Shirts will go all out to oppose Bersih 5 rally and will gather wherever Bersih goes.
“We have sworn to go all out to oppose them and I have said at previous press conferences that we will do anything, even it means bloodshed (bermandikan darah),” said Jamal
He said this when speaking to the press on Sunday after launching the Red Shirts gathering for the Sungai Besar parliamentary constituency at the Umno Sungai Besar hall here, and added that the Red Shirts had filed applications to gather on Nov 19.
Also present was Sungai Besar MP Budiman Mohd Zohdi who made a speech to the 500-strong crowd to thank supporters who voted for him in the June by-election.
Jamal added that the Red Shirts had applied for permission to gather at areas around Dataran Merdeka and Padang Merbok, including Putrajaya, KLIA and KLIA2, but he also said that the Red Shirts would not bother about the permits if those attending Bersih 5 “misbehave.”
He also said that 300,000 people would turn up for the planned Red Shirt rally.
”If the group follows the rules and the law, we will do the same. If they gather properly in a stadium, we will too,” said Jamal.
