Prime Minister Najib Razak today said he disliked the use of derogatory terms such as "keling" and "pendatang" on the Indian community.
Officiating MIC's 70th annual general meeting today, the prime minister called for mutual respect.
"We should emulate mutual respect among one another.
"Let's not call Indians 'pendatang', don't call Indians 'keling'. I don't like this. Please, don't," he said.
He added the country, if united, could bring "real change ... as the people are bored with the opposition's politics".
