Report: Cops' cars stolen by colleague at Bukit Aman

The Bukit Aman car park may no longer be safe for cops to park their vehicles after two senior police officers found their cars allegedly stolen by their colleague, reported theSun.
The two officers – a deputy superintendent and an assistant superintendent from the Traffic Investigations and Enforcement Department – had parked their vehicles at the car park of Bukit Aman's Tower I building.
They returned last week from official duty outstation and were stunned to find their cars, a Volkswagen Vento and a Proton Saga, missing.
The deputy superintendent, who left for Terengganu, parked his car on the first floor on Sept 26 and returned on Oct 5. The other officer parked his car on the second floor.
Kuala Lumpur police chief commissioner Amar Singh Ishar Singh said a police office, who was later identified as a lance corporal, was arrested.
"We are interrogating him to ascertain if he is involved with any car theft syndicates," he was quoted as saying.

The case is being probed under Section 379A of the Penal Code for vehicle theft. The stolen cars have yet to be recovered.
The daily quoted a source saying recordings from the security cameras at the car park showed a police officer driving away with the cars on Sept 30 and Oct 1 at 3am and 10pm respectively.
A white Perodua MyVi driven by an unidentified individual was seen in the recordings trailing the stolen vehicles driven by the cop, prompting Bukit Aman to trace the lance corporal's accomplice. - Mkini
