IGP GONE TO SLEEP? UMNO MEN ATTACK & DESTROY ZUNAR’S NAJIB & ROSMAH ARTWORKS BUT KU NAN BLAMES THE OPPOSITION

KUALA LUMPUR – The disruption of an exhibition by cartoonist Zunar and a ruckus on Parliament grounds by several Umno members does not have anything to do with the party’s central leadership, said Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
“This has nothing to do with the central leadership and we do not encourage what is happening. We ask members to be a bit more rationale,” he said at the launch of Rumawip residences on Saturday.
However, Tengku Adnan also advised others to be aware of their actions and to not hurt other’s feelings.
“When someone feels slighted, there will be fights. We are a nation which has been built under a concept given to us by our forefathers; to be tolerate and moderate irrespective of race.
“We do not want what has happened in Myanmar to take place in our country. But the Opposition is trying to instigate to create these sort of problems.
“We are living on a thin thread and this thread can be broken anytime,” he said.
He was commenting on two separate issues; the first where an exhibition by Zunar in Penang ended abruptly yesterday after a group of between 20 and 30 people, led by Penang Umno Youth chief Rafizal Abdul Rahim, stormed the event.
The exhibition featured posters deemed offensive to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
On Thursday, a group from Pasir Salak Umno Youth attacked Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad as he entered the Parliament grounds.
It is believed Khalid was attacked because he called Pasir Salak MP Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman menteri sial (damned minister) in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday.
