Education Minister Mahadzir Khalid has dismissed speculation that the History paper for the SPM examination had leaked.
He was responding to speculation online that students would need to re-sit the paper.
Taking to Twitter, Khalid said the ministry would issue an official statement on the matter soon.
In a statement later, the Education Ministry said it did not make any announcements about a re-sit of the History SPM 2016 examination.
"The claim was made viral on social media by irresponsible parties. We advise the public not to believe the (fake) media statement," it said.
A total 434,535 candidates registered are sitting for the SPM this year which started on Nov 7. - Mkini
