Silat Gayung Pusaka Malaysia guru Majid Mat Isa today condemned those who performed a martial arts display at the protest against Malaysiakini last Saturday.
He said the martial arts performers who smashed planks and bricks on themselves are not silat disciples.
"We (silat practitioners) do not intervene in others' problems and those who had the audacity to display silat that day are not silat disciples but are out to smear silat gayung.
"They are ill-bred people who are trying to take advantage of the situation," he told Malaysiakini.
He also bars all his disciples from joining any political rallies so as to protect the Malay martial arts' good name.
"I will personally beat up any silat disciple who join any of the upcoming rallies.
"We have instructed all Pusaka members not to join the rallies. If they do and we find out, we will take action against them," Majid said.
Red-shirts leader Jamal Md Yunos said the group will also gather on Nov 19 to hold a counter-rally against electoral group Bersih which plans to have its fifth mega rally in Kuala Lumpur.
Bersih 5 is to demand clean election, clean government, strengthening Parliament, empowering Sabah and Sarawak and the right to dissent.- Mkini
