Umno Sungai Besar Division leader Jamal Md Yunos led about 50 people to gather at the Malaysiakini office in Petaling Jaya today.
The group, made up mostly of youths, chanted 'Merah, Merah' (Red, red) and 'Hancur Soros' (Destroy Soros).
"You champion freedom of expression, so we want to see how far this freedom of expression is.
"We alerted the press yesterday about our visit so you should have prepared coffee or something," Jamal said.
Jamal and several red shirts representatives were allowed into the Malaysiakini premises.
He was met by Malaysiakini editor-in-chief Steven Gan and editors RK Anand and Jimadie Shah Othman.
In the meeting, Jamal stressed he was at Malaysiakini to give a "press conference".
More than a dozen police personnel were also present.
