Two residents in Taman Senawang Jaya, Seremban, have expressed anxiety over the frequent landslips over the past few days, and fear their houses may collapse.
One of them, Nazree Mohd Redza, 36, said since the drain embankment located behind his house collapsed on Nov 16, landslips had been occurring until yesterday, affecting his kitchen area.
"On Nov 16, my younger sibling told me that the drain embankment located behind my house collapsed during heavy rain.
"But within 10 days after the incident, soil movements and landslips often occurred, causing cracks to the kitchen floor," he told Bernamayesterday.
Lai Heng Chat, 71, whose house is also located near where the landslips occurred, said he and his wife were anxious over the situation, especially in the event of heavy rain.
"Although the structure of my house is still good, the embankment collapse incident had occurred near my house. Thus, I worry if the landslips might affect my house," he said.
