Kelantan Amanah denies blocking return of outstation voters

GE14 | Kelantan Amanah today denied PAS' claim that it was preventing outstation voters from returning to their respective hometowns to vote.
Kelantan Amanah chief Wan Abd Rahim Wan Abdullah said he was unsure why such a claim was made.
“It's not true because we have held many programmes with those who do not live in Kelantan,” Wan Abd Rahim told Malaysiakini.
PAS vice-president Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah had claimed that Amanah was sabotaging PAS by preventing outstation voters from returning to Kelantan to vote in the forthcoming general election.
However, Mohd Amar, who is Kelantan deputy menteri besar, vowed that the party would not let this happen as long as it was still in the state.
“There are efforts (to sabotage PAS) by Amanah because this is their main aim to contest in Kelantan.
“They are trying to campaign to outstation voters not to return to Kelantan to vote.”
However, Wan Abd Rahim stressed that Amanah has always embarked on various initiatives to encourage outstation voters to return home to vote.
Amanah will also be holding its last programme on the matter on March 30.
“Because we also realise that outstation voters are with us to make the change,” Wan Abd Rahim added. -Mkini
