Rosmah says she is all for anti-fake news law

Prime Minister's wife Rosmah Mansor said she supported Putrajaya's plans to enact an anti-fake news law.
"I'm all for it - the new law for fake news - I'm all for it," said Rosmah curtly, when met at a function in Kuala Lumpur today.
Putrajaya is expected to table the new law next week, which critics argued would ultimately be used to stifle dissent
Such concerns also stem from Putrajaya's claims that any information regarding the 1MDB affair that was unverified by the authorities was considered "fake news".
Earlier, Rosmah participated in a sharing session with parents of 241 camps' participants, many of whom praised the Permata Seni programme for helping to develop their children's interests in the arts.
Rosmah later presented certificates of excellence to those who scored in their SPM examinations, as well as to 20 participants who received their Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 2, in the field of traditional dance.
The award ceremony was followed by a series of 13 song and dance performances featuring Permata Seni participants from as young as seven, to those who are in their teens. -Mkini
