Appointment of Selangor PN chairperson in the works

 

The Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairperson for Selangor is to be appointed in a month or two, said Selangor Bersatu chairperson Abdul Rashid Asari.

Abdul Rashid (above), who is also a Bersatu Supreme Leadership Council member, said the matter is being given much thought by PN chairperson and Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

PN was registered on Aug 7.

Abdul Rashid said, however, despite the absence of a chairperson, PN in Selangor is already drawing up strategies to strengthen cooperation within the coalition and with its allies.

For example, he said, Selangor PN is engaging with Selangor PAS commissioner Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Selangor BN chairperson Noh Omar.

“Our primary focus is to work out strategies to recapture Selangor from Pakatan Harapan in the next general election,” he said.
