PUTRAJAYA: There will no longer be a limit to the number of people who can sit at one table in food outlets in recovery and conditional movement control (MCO) areas.
According to the latest update on standard operating procedures for conditional MCO areas by the National Security Council (NSC), the number of diners per table will depend on the size of the table, with one metre social distancing in place.
Previously, food outlets only allow a maximum of four persons per table for dine-in.
“Restaurants and eateries are now allowed to operate from 6am to midnight, depending on conditions stipulated on their licences, ” said the NSC on Monday (Dec 7).
Food trucks, roadside hawkers, mobile hawkers, food courts and kiosks can also operate within the same hours, as well as supermarkets, shopping centres and retail stores.
These new rulings take effect from today. - Star
