PETALING JAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdulah Sultan Ahmad Shah will undergo a seven-day self-quarantine upon returning from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Sultan Abdullah is scheduled to return home tomorrow.
In a statement, Comptroller of the Royal Household Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said the King and his delegation will undergo a Covid-19 screening test at Abu Dhabi before departure, along with another one upon arrival at KLIA.
“The rest of the delegation will also undergo self-quarantine at a location set by the health ministry,” he said.
Recently, the King had met UAE’s Health and Prevention Minister Dr Abdul Rahman in Dubai to discuss the supply of vaccines for the purpose of clinical trials in Malaysia.
The meeting was part of the King’s special five-day trip to the UAE. - FMT
