PETALING JAYA: The main Covid-19 hospital in Selangor has brought in a special shipping container to keep the bodies of those who died from the virus.
Covid-19 deaths have been piling up in the past week, with 245 fatalities reported since May 9.
The health ministry said on Twitter that Hospital Sungai Buloh has been forced to bring in the special container.
“Today, six more deaths were reported at the hospital.
“More than 80% of Covid-19 deaths in the country involve the elderly and those with chronic illnesses or comorbidities. Most were infected by family members,” the ministry said.
The ministry urged those living with high-risk people to protect themselves to protect their loved ones.
Selangor remains one of the worst-hit states with 18,564 local infections reported for the past two weeks. - FMT
