Che Ta's household items worth nearly RM100,000 seized

PETALING JAYA: Various household items belonging to actress Rozita Che Wan, valued at nearly RM100,000, were seized by the court on Tuesday.

According to an anonymous legal representative, the writ was handed over to Rozita’s mother as the 51-year-old actress, also known as Che Ta, was not home at the time.

“Today, we issued the writ, assessed the value of the items, and carried out the seizure. This is our second visit to Rozita’s house.

“Our first visit last month didn’t receive cooperation, so this time we secured a court order to enter. The estimated value of the household items is under RM100,000, mostly personal belongings,” said the representative, speaking on behalf of the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara).

According to Sinar Harian, the representative added that the next step would be to await further instructions from the court regarding the auction process, which is expected to take place within two weeks.

“Any negotiations hereafter must go through the court process. For now, we’re waiting for further directions for the auction process. The auction date has been set, but we are awaiting official correspondence from the court,” she explained while confirming that the actress’s debt amounts to nearly RM1mil.

Meanwhile, Che Ta’s eldest son, Ammar Effendy, 28, declined to comment when approached outside his mother’s house.

arlier, Mara officials, along with lawyers and court representatives, raided Rozita’s residence in Kota Damansara after the 4 Madu actress failed to settle her loan, which amounts to nearly RM1mil. - Star
