RELIGIOUS cults are no short on weird rituals that make any observer scratch their heads in wonderment.
Then there are the willing participants in these eyebrow-raising scenes which beg the question, “how could they get into it in the first place?”
In a viral post on X by netizen #UpdateInfo, a group of worshippers could be seen seated at a muslim graveyard in Danau Kota, making weird chants while bobbing their heads as though in a trance.
The person who recorded the video commented that he thought they were performing a Zikir in the first instance. But after some time, he found it to be something else, which raised the alarm.
Observing the scene, netizen jihadar in the comment section advised that it be reported to the religious department as this could be heresy.
Another netizen added that this is possibly the influence of Abuya in Danau Kota, sparking various comments that linked the scene to GISB Holding.
Likely prompted by the element of Syirik, netizen JandaHitam gave the winning comment in the form of a GIF.
Then there was WakDinoffical who attempted to make light of the situation by saying, “Instead of sitting there and making nonsensical teachings, it would be best for them to cooperate and cut the grass.”
On the other hand, Dr. Fahmi Ngah who painted a more serious picture suggested that people should come forth and provide the location as well as detailed information so that actions can be taken.
According to Berita Harian, the video recording was initially uploaded by a Facebook user named Rizuwan Rosly, who also expressed concern after seeing a group of individuals engaging in suspicious activity at the cemetery.
However, a check by Berita Harian found that the video had been deleted by the Facebook owner.
Before the post was deleted, Rizuwan informed in the comment section that he had reported the incident and handed it over to the Department of Islamic Affairs for investigation. —Focus Malaysia
