PETALING JAYA: Sarawak aims to implement all projects in the state that are listed under the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) in 2025 to ensure the people reap its benefits, says Abang Johari Openg.
The Sarawak premier said the state had to date implemented infrastructure projects such as roads and bridges, and electricity and water supply, The Borneo Post reported.
Other projects that were carried out included socio-economic projects, such as the development of small and medium industries, and social safety net programmes, he said.
“I sincerely hope that efforts to implement the 12MP in Sarawak will be enhanced next year so that all the projects can be successfully carried out,” he was quoted as saying in his New Year message.
He also said a mid-term review would be conducted to assess the success of the programmes and projects under the state’s Post Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030.
Abang Johari added his administration would be making preparations in 2025 to provide free education at the tertiary level in 2026. - FMT
