Yes 5G, Calpis Soda team up for ‘One in a Million’ revival

Yes 5G – Malaysia’s pioneering 5G network – has partnered with Calpis Soda for the highly anticipated music competition “One in a Million”, which makes its return after a 15-year hiatus.

In a joint statement, Yes 5G and Calpis said this collaboration goes beyond mere sponsorship, aiming to empower Malaysians to unleash their lifestyle, talents, and ambitions under the theme “Uncap Yourself”.

“By supporting Calpis’s One in a Million, Yes 5G is helping to create a platform where Malaysia’s rising stars can shine.

“Through affordable and reliable connectivity, Yes 5G’s postpaid and prepaid plans empower everyone to dream bigger and reach further with no speed or data cap,” they said.

YTL Communications CEO Wing K Lee said Yes 5G’s partnership with Calpis for the competition reflects their commitment to empowering new talent to explore new opportunities.

“We are proud to be part of a movement that celebrates creativity and innovation while inspiring Malaysians to achieve greatness,” he said.

Through the collaboration, Yes 5G customers will automatically be able to cast 10 times more votes, ensuring their voices are heard.

Voting for the singing competition began during Episode 2 of the live show on Dec 29. Fans of the show can keep voting for their favourite stars right up until the grand finale on Feb 9.

This year’s competition offers exceptional rewards, including seven cars through a partnership with Peugeot and other collaborators. These prizes heighten the stakes for participants, amplifying the excitement of the reality show.
