Kuala Lumpur police chief Azry Akmar Ayob said the five, all of whom have criminal records, were arrested in Banting yesterday.
“We are now hunting for three more suspects and we urge them to surrender themselves,” he said in a statement.
Earlier today, police confirmed that two men were injured following an incident in which two vehicles rammed into a group of people outside a nightclub.
A video of the incident, which has gone viral, shows the two vehicles coming out of a side lane before driving into the group standing by the side of the road.
The vehicles were then seen making a U-turn and going against the flow of traffic before swerving to target the same group.
Police are currently probing the case under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder, an offence punishable by at least 10 years in jail and a fine upon conviction.
According to Azry, the incident followed a commotion that took place at the club. - FMT
